The All Golds continuing development sees the launch of the Golden Ferns, a women’s team based at the impressive SGS College Stoke Gifford Stadium.

The Golden Ferns will look to recruit women and girls from the South West of England to get involved in Rugby League as the women’s game goes through amazing growth and involvement.

Recruitment to the new Golden Ferns team will also be aided by the exciting Women’s Rugby League World Cup in 2021.
The Golden Ferns form part of the growth and development of the All Golds family, with the recent launch of the Bristol All Golds and the SGS Bristol Academy All Golds based at SGS College, alongside the founding All Golds, based at Gloucester.
England Rugby League International and Rugby League World Cup 2021.

Ambassador, Jodie Cunningham welcomed the launch of the Golden Ferns:
“It’s brilliant to see the development of a new women’s team in Bristol, women’s Rugby League has had such fantastic growth in recent years and creating new teams in the south of England will help to continue building momentum going into next year’s World Cup where we will see the profile and visibility of the Women’s game reach heights never seen before.”

Marc Lovering, Director of Participation and Development at The Rugby Football League also is excited by the project “As we look towards the RLWC21, the RFL continues to support the growth and levelling up of the women’s and girls game, we’ve seen tremendous strides made, over the last 4 years, and we want to build on these foundations, and extend playing opportunities to all parts of the country. We are currently working with partners across the country to build suitable playing opportunities and pathways”.

We are not resting on our laurels though and an ambitious and structured expansion plan is being developed, with new areas for growth being actively investigated.”
