This weekend, the All Golds will be holding a trial for players interested in joining the club on the next stage of its journey.

Having had an amazingly successful season in 2018, the All Golds are looking forward to the challenges that 2019 will bring and are inviting players interested in joining them to come and show their skills this Sunday (2 December).

The trial will take place at St Peter’s School, Stroud Road. Registration takes place from 10am-10.15am and the day will finish around 2.30pm. Players are asked to bring their own food and drink, shorts and socks, boots and trainers.

The club will be providing medical cover, official match official, videoing of trial, playing shirts, top quality dressing rooms and shower facilities.

There will be a number of skills tests prior to a trial game where members of the 2018 squad will take part.

The 2019 season promises to be a step up as the All Golds have confirmed their interest in the new Southern Premier league, details of which are currently being finalised. There is also the small matter of an appearance in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup in January.

The draw for the first round takes place on Friday 14 December at 17.30, with ties being played on the weekend of 26/27 January 2019.

The achievements of last season have not gone unnoticed by the professional game as scrum half Callum Merrett has signed for League 1 side Coventry Bears for the 2019 season. This shows that a pathway to a professional contract is available for those with the desire and ability to work hard for it. Just the kind of player the All Golds hope to see on Sunday.

Off the field, the All Golds have struck up a partnership with the London Broncos who were promoted to the Super League for 2019 after winning the Million Pound Game 4-2 against Toronto Wolfpack in Canada at the end of 2018. Assistant Coach Jay Woodley has spent time with the Broncos coaching staff and the club would like to put on record its thanks to Danny Ward and his staff for their generosity in giving their time to allow Jay to observe their work.

On Sunday, the door is open for players to join the club in preparing for a successful 2019.
