The Forest of Dean has supplied both codes of Rugby with the finest of personnel for over a century. This tradition continues with the All Golds’ appointment of the vastly experienced and highly regarded Newent born Andy Addis as Team Manager. Andy’s pedigree in Rugby Union is first class having led his local club Newent to four promotions and two national finals at the Twickenham stadium in London. He previously played for both Newent and Cinderford.

On the county stage he continues to play a major role both as the Gloucestershire Team Manager and as a selector for the senior side.
Andy and his family are equally at home in the 13 aside code with his son Mike having been a product of the All Golds’ academy system and an award winner with the first team last season.
He is looking forward to the new Rugby League Southern Conference League season and has joined the All Golds with a clear purpose in mind:
“I have joined the All Golds’ staff to use my experience from my union career to help improve standards.”

Addis, senior site manager at Lioncourt Homes, recently met with the All Golds and summed the situation up in the following terms:

“The board of directors has a clear vision of where the club needs to be and I want to be a part of this. It is a great opportunity in a forward thinking club and a new challenge for myself.”
The Rugby Football League will be releasing the Southern Conference League fixtures very soon. However throughout the close season the All Golds have been strengthening in some very important off field positions. This most recent appointment being part of this trend. Head Coach Marcus Brown is acutely aware of the significance of recruiting Andy:
“The club has been seeking a Team Manager with the appropriate gravitas and experience for some considerable time now. It is fantastic news for the club having him on board for 2020.”
