The Bristol Golden Ferns confirmed their progress this season with a performance praised by both coaching staffs as they pushed the Army’s Development side all the way to just run out of time as they went down 22-26. Tricia Brown scored twice while Lucy Juffkins touched down and Bobbie Jackson grabbed her ninth try of a prolific season.

The Bristol All Golds’ first home game for over a year ended in a nine-try demolition of an understrength Torfaen side that played strongly until they were reduced to ten men because of injuries in the final quarter. Captain Jack Uren scored twice as did Darrion Ball, who also landed three goals.

ALL GOLDS FIRE IN FRIENDLY VICTORY

The Bristol All Golds enjoyed a comfortable 54-4 friendly win over local rivals Cheltenham Phoenix in an entertaining game at Newlands. They ran in 11 tries, with wing Mason Robbins grabbing four.

The Bristol Golden Ferns were outclassed by a strong Cardiff Demons side who cruised to an easy win, running away with the game in the final quarter as the Ferns’ defensive effort took its toll.
